This type of visits have a duration of 10/15 minutes during which you will be able to access the space and know with a brief audio the highlighted information. At all times our volunteers will accompany you during the tour.
You can check the visits included in the program of the 9th edition in the PROGRAM section of openhousemadrid.org. We will be updating this section, adding new buildings throughout the weeks leading up to the festival.
The itineraries are a selection of buildings from the Open House Madrid program with the same theme. All the buildings included in these themed tours will be open during the festival.
Not all spaces open their doors on the same day or at the same time. Check the days and times of each visit or route in the PROGRAM section of openhousemadrid.org.
Remember, before going to a visit, route or activity, please check openhousemadrid.org to make sure that the schedule has not been modified. The valid schedule will be only the one shown on our website.
In buildings without inscription, the last visit shift is the last time indicated, so that if for example it says "10:00-14:00h", the last shift will access at 14:00h.
Visits to buildings and studios have an average duration of 30 to 45 minutes. The duration of the tours, which vary between 1.30 and 2 hours, will be indicated on each tour's description.

In order to guarantee the quality of the visit, the capacity will be established according to the guidelines of each space and our Architecture team. On average there will be 15 people per shift.
Open House Madrid volunteers and volunteer guides from the Asociación Jóvenes Guías de Turismo de Madrid will be there to accompany and inform you during the tour of the space. In addition, some visits will be made by the architects of the project who, as special guests, will explain the most unique details.

In the case of visits that do not require prior registration, come to the space or to the meeting point at the times indicated in the information sheet for each visit. There you will find our volunteers, who will help you with the visit.
In the case of visits with obligatory prior registration, the registration period will open in September, the registration period will open in September and you will be able to sign up through our our Eventbrite profile.
When registering you will have to indicate the data of the holder of the places and each of his companions for the registration to be valid. For security reasons, duplicate registrations will not be accepted.

Yes, children are allowed to visit the festival. If you have chosen a visit that requires prior registration , you will also have to register the children accompanying you, except for children under 2 years old, who do not require registration. Some tours do not allow access to children under 16 years of age; in this case, we will indicate this on the tour sheet.
In the file of each space we include a notice in case the visit is accessible to people with reduced mobility. It is essential to let us know in advance by sending an email to [email protected] with your details (name, surname, ID, email and cell phone) so that we can inform the building in advance. If it is a registered visit, you must register for the visit before sending us the email.
Most spaces, especially if they are official buildings, require ID to access the visit. If this is the case of the space you have chosen, we will indicate it in the registration process. Do not forget to bring it with you on the day of the visit, otherwise you will not be able to do it.
No, you can sign up for as many visits as you want. You will have to go through the entire registration process for each tour you want to sign up for.
A maximum of 5 places per registration may be requested, subject to availability.

It is important to note that some visits require prior registration for security reasons, and that registrations are closed in advance of the festival in order to prepare the corresponding lists of visitors. For this reason, no changes will be accepted after the closing of registrations and, consequently, the person who can attend the reserved visit will be the one who appears in the lists.

In any case, keep in mind thatmost buildings, even those that do not require prior registration, ask for your ID at the entrance to visit. Do not forget to carry it with you at all times.
In order to comply with the visit shifts and out of respect for the rest of the visitors and the Open House Madrid team, we ask you to be punctual. If you are more than 5 minutes late for the visit you will lose your place.
We kindly ask you to cancel your registration, as this will give your place to another visitor. You can cancel your registration by sending an e-mail to [email protected]. In general, it is allowed to take photos and videos with your cell phone inside the buildings and routes. Otherwise, the volunteer with whom you make the visit will tell you. If you are a member of the media, you must request permission beforehand. You can contact [email protected].
No, Open House Madrid is a completely free festival. However, those visits that require prior registration will have a cost per place as management fees.
