Open House Madrid is made possible thanks to the support of more than 500 volunteers who participate in the coordination of the tours, routes and other activities that take place within the framework of the festival. Volunteers are the pillar of Open House Madrid!

Being a volunteer means being part of the Open House family and supporting an international initiative that promotes and disseminates architectural heritage.
The main function of the volunteer is to accompany visitors to each space and route from arrival to departure. You will inform the public about the functioning of the festival and the space being visited, organize access to the building assigned to you and answer practical questions to the public (opening hours, nearby buildings to visit, other festival activities, etc.). We will provide you with the Volunteer Guide with all the details.
To join the Open House Madrid volunteer program you only need to be passionate about the project, have a few hours and be eager to contribute and help us spread the architectural culture of the city. It is a project made by and for everyone, enthusiasm is the only requirement to participate!
If you are a festival volunteer:
✓ You will receive our welcome pack.
✓ You will have priority access to the participating buildings (except those requiring prior registration).
✓ You will expand your own skills and cultivate your passion with those who share the same interests.
✓ You will have participated in an international event and exchange where a unique architectural experience is offered to the attending public.
✓ You will get a certificate of your participation in the event in recognition of your collaboration and involvement in the project.
✓ You will be able to include your participation as a festival volunteer on LinkedIn and on your resume.
